Protecting your personal data matters to us. This page explains transparently what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.

We apply the principle of minimisation: we only collect information strictly necessary to organise the fair. Your data is hosted in France, and this site uses no advertising trackers or tracking tools.

Data collected and purposes

1. Event registration (legal basis: contract)

When you register, we collect: first name, last name, email address, participation mode. This data is used only to confirm your registration, send you practical information (connection link for online events, location for on-site events) and send you reminders before the event.

Retention period: 180 days after the event date.

2. Statistical data (legal basis: consent)

Based on your explicit consent, we may collect: doctoral school, laboratory, discipline, thesis year, institution, professional situation. This data is used exclusively for statistical purposes, to improve PhD Job Day. It is not shared with any third party for commercial purposes.

Retention period: 365 days after the event date.

Recipients and processors

Your data is processed by the University of Lille and by the following technical providers, acting as processors (Art. 28 GDPR), only for the purposes described above:

  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — sending confirmation and reminder emails.
  • OVHcloud (OVH SAS, Roubaix, France) — hosting of the application and database, on infrastructure located in France.

Where a processor involves a data transfer outside the European Union, it is governed by the appropriate safeguards set out in Articles 44 to 49 of the GDPR.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights:

  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Portability of your data (Art. 20)

No trackers

This site uses no tracking cookies, no audience analytics tool (Google Analytics or equivalent), and no advertising pixel. Fonts are hosted locally.
