The three universities that make up the A2U (universities of Artois, of the Opal Coast Coast and Picardy Jules Verne) all have the particularity of being both multipolar and multidisciplinary. The three of them, these universities bring together more than 50 000 students, they are aimed at 61% of the population and cover 87 % of the regional territory.
This alliance offers the opportunity for the three establishments that make it up to bring out and share the best practices of each, whether in terms of innovation and technology transfer, teaching, research, initial and continuing training, of skills development, or educational innovation.
However, it is a collaborative approach that preserves the identity and autonomy of each establishment.
The A2U Doctoral Schools
Doctoral schools provide doctoral students with a high-level working environment and training during the three years of preparing their thesis..
These schools ensure the scientific quality of the theses produced and their smooth running., by supporting international mobility in particular (mobility grants, support for joint supervision) and by offering a transversal and transdisciplinary training program (including a module on research ethics and scientific integrity). They manage admissions and educational pathways for doctoral students..
Each doctoral school is headed by a teacher-researcher, assisted by one or more assistants, and advice.
