My PhD research project focuses on advancing in vitro models to understand the monogastric gut defense ecosystem. The focus is also on investigating how fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) and chicory flour impact piglets’ gut immune development, addressing weaning stress and pathogen infection risks.
